I soooo enjoyed myself at Gigi’s Psychic & Healing Fair yesterday. The most meaningful part for me was the deep listening—listening to the stories shared by fellow readers, vendors, friends, and clients.
Storytelling is one of the modalities I weave into my work/play—not only am I a storyteller, but I am also a storykeeper. I have always had long memory, and not just from this life lol, with my sort of photo/video/audio-graphic memory and neurodivergent mind-body. The stories I receive from people or spirit helpers, guides, and ancestors just stick, and the threads reappear and connect in different ways while in process when I work with people.
I facilitate a way of empowering and catalyzing with these stories, where we will engage and speak the experience *from* the heart, rather than *about* the experience, as can be people’s habit to list happenings detached from feeling. There is an aliveness there we can tap into more meaningfully when we drop in, where we unravel all the stories that pertain—that give embodied context to place and heart—and where we are empowered, or healed, through relational nurturance and collaboration.
I loved all the stories and connecting with hearts and their meanings. Isn’t that life? So satisfying!! This is one of the ways of the shaman or mystic who develops consciousness through ecstatic experience—which is basically the essence of life *in* experience, embodied. Joy is revealed here.
Thank you to everyone who shared a story with me! And thank you to Kevin Ross Emery for displaying a selection of my sunrae artworks wire art jewelry at your table!
